He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not He loves me, he loves me not These words pierce my heart. Times, he seems to really care; Others, emotionally he’s not there. Does he love me, does he not? Why does he puncture my heart? Why is he callous and so cold? He can't love me, I've been told. He loves me, he loves me not Was the game I played a lot. Now it's time for this to cease I just need some love and peace. Does he love me, does he not? These questions plague my heart I could bear it, if I only knew Is my marriage really through? Do I love him, do I not? I love him with my whole heart But not enough to end my life With a man who doesn't want a wife. This poem was inspired from a young lady who has been married a number of years. She was in a situation where she thought at times it was too much to bear, and a couple times thought she would be better off if she ended her marriage. All she wanted was for her hubby to love her. Finally and sadly she reached the point that she no longer cares.
