DANCING Dancing in her yellow dress As music swirled in the air, Laughing girl with smiling face, Ribbon in her hair. So long ago, this memory Still envisioned in my mind; Safe from a world of care, Leaving any pain behind. I shall remember her with love As little girls grow up and go Away from a mother's embrace; Dancing, don't you know? We cannot hold them close forever, Safe from others' charms; They grow up and dance away Into someone else's arms. Countrymom 5/5/03
