From What Once Was

Of course the wind is colder now
Compared to the warmth of my embrace.

Of course the pretty flowers pale
Compared to my gaze upon your face.

Of course a tired heart that's mending
Doubts that it can ever be strong.

Of course the hummingbird tune ending
Is our love's cue to burst to song.
