DANCE WITH ME, DEATH! Dance with me, Death! Let me see Just a wee small bit of levity; You seem so grim, as scythe you wave, Bidding me go on to my grave! Let's try a waltz, it could be fun! Loosen up, now, be a chum! One last whirl around the room, You came here a bit too soon! Dance with me, Death! Let me feel The music that you try to steal; I love life and just look at you; You must have better things to do! If you refuse to waltz with me, I shall refuse to go, you see; The grave, for me, holds no charm, And you cause me no great alarm. Find another, I'm not ready yet; I'll keep on dancing, and don't forget Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win; Dance with me, Death, I won't give in! Countrymom revised 12/6/09
