I REMEMBER YOU Long walks, quiet talks, and lazy summer days; Lost in memory as the music softly plays. Seems like only yesterday we watched a graceful swan Gliding in tranquil waters; yet time moves right along. The hands that used to reach for me are gone forever more; The love that once we knew just walked out the door. Other arms were waiting, you left without even a backward glance; You never held the memory and I never stood a chance. Today I walked alone once more to see that graceful swan; But as I looked out at the lake, like you, it was already gone. I remember you, my love as the days and nights go by; A trick of fate, much too late, there is no need to cry.
