You romanticize the world
Seeing a flower as life to die The sun to set Children to grow old And love to fail Your feelings deep Never a thought wasted You take the world seriously Believing in love In life In laughter And believing that it will all end Your heart is pure And your soul is open Your poems are real Never change my dear Keep the world in front of you For you can never be boring Not even in your sleep Your fiction is too real for fiction Your emotions too strong for the night Explore the world Show your true feathers You thrive on truth Your muse is your soul Fly high my dear girl Don’t look back until you’ve had your fill I’ll be here for you To relay your adventures to Tell your tales To my awaiting ears I love to hear you As you romanticize the world And see beyond your own heart. 6/7/03
