"Ok, take a break! I'll look over the scene and see if we need to have another take, so meet back here in 10!" The director said and Jake sighed with relief. They had been filming this past scene over and over and Jake felt like he was going to explode.

I could kiss him for letting me take a break! Jake said with a look to the director, but then shifted his eyes to Lissa. But I think I'll save that for someone else.

It was amazing. He had never seen Melissa in such a good mood. Even though they had been working really hard, she was still bopping all over the place, a smile seemingly glued to that beautiful face of hers. Jake couldn't look at her without his lips forming a sort of grin on their own. He couldn't help thinking her good natured emotions were because of him. After all she kept casting her eyes over at him and giving him a devilish look. Oh, he remembered that look.

It was so weird; he was getting memory after memory thrown into his face of when Jackie and he used to be a thing, working on the same set. He remembered how playful she always was, intent on doing everything she could to sneak him off into a dark corner and giving him a quick peck on the lips. She would always be talking to everyone, making sure she was in the center of attention. But Jake had always felt as if she was only making sure that he was looking and didn't care about the rest.

The memories brought a slight smile to his lips and he caught Lissa's eyes. She waggled her eyebrows for a moment before moving on. He ran his fingers through his hair. He couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Melissa was laying it on thick and he wasn't sure what he wanted to do about it.

Stop thinking so much! He yelled at himself, his eyes followed Lissa as she went over to the mirrors, moving her cheek in for the personnel to powder. He was sick of the second guessing. It was way past high time to just go forward - and after what Karlee had said on the plane he knew what he wanted. He wanted to give Lissa another try - and it certainly looked like she wanted that too.

Maybe I could thank Becky for this, for being that go-between that helped me figure out how well Melissa and I worked together.

He moved toward the slim figure dressed in a dark cat suit, her outfit throughout most of the movie. But he was cut off by the director's beaming face.

"The scene was absolutely perfect, way to go people!" There was a small cheer and he held up his hands. "I need everyone to do one more set before I'll let you go for the night. It'll be really quick!" He made a sort of pleading face to Jake and Jake rolled his eyes. It looked like he would have to put his 'not thinking' ambitions on hold.

Jacob flipped up the collar of his trench coat and tip-toed through the elaborate set. This spy movie was really going better than anyone seemed to have planned. Never Get Caught was already getting some hype and they weren't even done filming yet. Jake took his position half kneeling on the floor, while Lissa moved up against the opposite wall.

"Action!"

Instantly the door to the fake warehouse flew open as a big burly guy threw himself in. Jake pushed a handheld gun in the direction of Melissa who dove on it. Instantly she was up on her feet and in a very intimidating stance, pointing the gun directly at the intruder's chest.

Melissa tossed her long locks over her shoulder. "I'll give you three seconds." She said calmly, eyeing the man almost twice her size.

"One," She said smoothly and clearly, then without another second she fired off a shot, aiming it just past the man's ear. He jumped about three feet and instantly high tailed it out of the building. Lissa threw back her head and laughed.

Jake popped out of his hiding place and moved up next to Lissa, in perfect character. Fury shone over his face.

"Are you insane?! Don't play with toys you can't handle!" He screamed, yanking the gun out of her hands. Lissa laid her hands on her hips, perfectly playing the sassy Tracy Breaks.

"Oh please, I handled that like a pro."

Jake threw his hands in the air. "Right, we almost had another body on our hands! And we still don't have any place to put the first!" He pointed the gun at her to punctuate the sentence but she didn't even flinch.

Melissa took a step closer to Jake, looking straight up into his eyes. She flipped her bangs out of her face and gave him a deep, hard stare before answering. Her voice was as smooth as butter and melting just so.

"The first body wasn't exactly my fault, now was it?"

Jake felt his heart beating in his chest as he stared down Lissa, knowing that his next line was to storm over to the door and say the last departing word for the scene. But he couldn't seem to move. No, it wasn't that, he just didn't want to move.

He could feel her breath upon him as she kept her pose, waiting for him to make his move. She stared intently into him, determined not to be the one to screw up the scene. Jake felt himself start to lean forward slowly as he looked into her eyes...her deep, beautiful eyes...

"Cut! Jones! What the hell are you doing?!" Jacob leapt backwards instantly, coming to his senses. The director threw his script on the ground in a fury and disbelief. "Melissa's playing your sister for Christ's sake! Everyone, take a break!" He gripped the sides of his head and stormed out of the studio, muttering something about sponsors and what they thought about incest.

Jacob felt his cheeks burn. He looked down at his feet, hearing the snickers coming from all the sides. Of course they were laughing; he had just made a complete fool of himself. He was playing Carl Breaks and he almost just kissed his sister. He could only imagine the sort of rumors that were going to start up around the set tomorrow.

There was a cheering from over in the corner and Jake looked up to see Paul, a costume designer whistling and laughing.

"Don't worry about it Jake-y boy! I'd wanna kiss her too, even if she was my sister!" Paul gave a couple of eyes to Lissa and everyone laughed. Jake did his best to laugh along as well, avoiding eye contact with Melissa. He knew that she would be completely insulted that Paul would say something like that to her - a star - but Jake was just thankful that it took the attention off him. Now he could make his escape.

Jake slipped off around a corner and leaned against the cool material of the set. He wasn't sure what they made everything out of but he certainly was glad that it was always chilled when he needed to put his face against it. Its lighting was dim and Jake just closed his eyes, soaking in the darkness.

"Jacob?" A soft voice asked and he didn't move. Maybe they wouldn't see him if he didn't move...

"Jake?" They asked again, and lightly touched his shoulder. He moved his head and opened his eyes to acknowledge the unwelcome visitor - and found himself staring right back into those eyes.

She stepped back slightly and raised an eyebrow. There was still a commotion on the other side of the set. "Nice spy move there. I almost didn't see you leave."

Jake sighed. "Apparently not nice enough; no one was supposed to see me leave."

Melissa raised an eyebrow and leaned her weight on one hip, throwing her hair over her shoulder in a classic Melissa style. "Are you saying you don't want to be near me? It didn't seem like that was the case a few minutes ago."

Jake couldn't help but smile. Lissa was never one to beat around the bush. "Yeah...well about that..."

Lissa chuckled, "Oh, you don't have to explain."

Jake gave her a look of surprise. That didn't seem like something Melissa would say, she always wanted to know all the juicy stuff she could, especially when it concerned her.

"I know exactly how you feel."

With her final words she drew herself close to Jake and delicately wrapped her arms around him, placing her hands on the back of his head. She then lifted her face to his and placed a soft, sweet kiss upon his lips.

The kiss ended quietly and Jake pulled back just far enough to look into her eyes. They had a shine to them that he hadn't seen in a long time.

But...what about... Jake mentally kicked himself and let a small smile float over his lips. He saw a similar expression on Lissa's face and leaned himself in for another kiss.

No more thinking.
