Paint Me a Scene: Use: Torch / Phone book / Chocolate
Situation - and A night in coz it's raining *Thunderstorm* 163 words ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alone Metal pie pans clashed together with King Kong shaking the house: that’s the kind of storm we were having, and the rain was pummeling the roof, sending drops into the bucket with a steady clink, clink, clink. I was searching every drawer and bookshelf, feeling my way, for the old plastic torch. “Blast it! Who took it?" I demanded, but the sky discharged another Goliath of thunder, and I stumbled over the phone book some child had left in the middle of the floor. I fell, of course, landing on Deana’s backpack. Books flung themselves across the floor. It was too dark to collect them, but I attempted to push her papers back into the bag. My hand felt something hard and crisp-wrappered. I drew it out. A Snickers bar. So I was alone in the middle of a dark and ominous night. The roof was leaking, the heater was off, but I had a giant-sized chocolate candy bar. I peeled, ate, and smiled. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
