THANK GOD—awardicon winner


We must learn to thank the Lord
For all that we have now got.
When on this earth we landed,
All were but empty handed.

Thank god who gave a mother,
In His own image proper,
Who gave love and nourishment,
Almost like a sacrament.

Thank god who gave us a school
Where we learnt many a tool;
Knowledge, too, on which we thrived,
Of which half world is deprived.

Thank god He gave wherewithal
For computer to install,
On which this poem we read.
Many don’t have bread to eat!

Thank god we can contemplate
His grace, his compassion great.
God, make us your servant true.
May we never forget You.
