LONELY LIFE—a ghazal

My life is lonely, fill it.
My loneliness! Do kill it.

Bring to my cold life your warmth,
Let not depression chill it.

Life is barren without you,
Come, with your love instill it.

Be kind to my wailing heart,
Do not any more grill it.

Come into my stagnant life,
With your vibrant joy, thrill it.

What shall I not do for you?
You have only to will it.

My heart says you will be mine,
Such a hope harbours, still, it.

Fill my life, Khalish, with love,
Lest, one day, come to nil, it.
