TO BE UNMARRIED AGAIN
I remember the day when I met you for the first time, And along the path of love I sang my first ever rhyme. I remember the day when You and I tied nuptial knot. I dreamed of heavenly bliss, But this was to be true not. Heaven, if there be at all, In next life may ours be; But our present union is Different in reality. The so called conjugal bliss, Of two bodies and one soul, Is for me just a mirage, A perverted untruth whole. I remember the day when You hit me and bled my heart. That was the day when love soured, When this marriage came apart. We have continued to live Together, yes, it is true; But we cannot deny that Our life we truly do rue. I remember the day when You told me to go, get lost. Since that day has deepened still More and more conjugal frost. No way of reviving this Marriage I can think about. To be unmarried again, Is now the only way out. * Written in abcb, generally 7-7-7-7 format. M C Gupta ‘Khalish’ Created: 18 July 2003
