Love Lies Bleeding
Can you feel their bleeding tears?

Love Lies Bleeding

The shadows close in around them
But they cannot see
The light has left their eyes
Empty hearts are not truly free
They could reach it if they tried
But they’ve grown dead to everything
The knife drives deeper in
Can you hear them singing

All staring all wandering
They can’t see anything but
Wilted flowers dead fireflies
The sunlight’s faded from the skies
In denial they won’t see
The vision that could set them free
And all these hearts keep beating
Even as love lies bleeding

Through the dark a red candle glows
Is the door closed yet
Where are you standing now
Wandering lost with red eyes wetless
Can you laugh can you cry now
Are you too lost to scream now
Scarred forever can you even speak
Your empty minds can’t be found

All searching all wondering
They won’t find anything but
Wilted flowers dead fireflies
The sunlight’s faded from the skies
In their hatred they can’t feel
That ever turning changing wheel
And all these hearts keep beating
Even as love lies bleeding

All I can see are quiet graves
Staring back at me
A million flaming eyes
Around a rotting tree
And I can hear you scream
‘Cause you know now it’s too late
No one will save you now
From your dark and lonely hate

All screaming, all dying
Completely surrounded by
Wilted flowers dead fireflies
The sunlight’s faded from the skies
Prisoners in their own heads
Don’t know they’re better off dead
So all these hearts keep beating
Even as love lies bleeding
