Contest Entry
Just a silly moment

This is an oldie. I wrote it a long time ago. I just liked the reason for this contest and it's a lttle too close to closing to do something new. I don't write a lot of poetry any more, but it's how I first began writing.

As I sit,
         my thoughts fly free,
Never on
         what they should be.
And so,
         with my pen in hand,
I try to express
         what I can.

Expressing my feelings
         in simple rhyme,
I'm quickly depleted
         of extra time.
But if I don't soon stop,
         I think,
I, probably,
         will run out of ink
