WHAT WORTH IS THIS MARRIAGE
What worth is this marriage if We two can’t live together? We cause such unpleasantness All the time to each other! You are happy with your work, Your bottle and bank balance. For me you have just no time, With me you have no patience. What worth is this marriage if We are fighting all the time? You have no love lost for me. Is talking to me a crime? Why don’t you give me divorce? Why not free me once again? Why semblance of marriage we Should just for others maintain? What worth is this marriage if You can’t bear me or my face? You do not any longer Offer me kiss or embrace! Why, then, we must for others Carry on with this façade? Ultimately why not we Fig leaf of marriage discard? * Written in abcb 7-7-7-7 format M C Gupta ‘Khalish’ 27 July 2003
