INDIFFERENCE
When I saw her first, I thought That for me she was made; That she was my dream angel, My heavenly mermaid. She smiled like a pretty rose, Her voice was music sweet; Her beauty was radiant, Glance, bewitching indeed. There was no occasion to Ask or get her consent. It was magic of love that Happened in a moment. But, that was before marriage, Ere she became my wife. Now the love has given way To continuing strife. She, an angel, has now turned Into ordinary. Smiles are no longer rosy, The looks are now scary. Radiance has become heat, The glance is full of scorn; I don’t know why, when and how, Indifference was born. All joy has gone from my life. Lord! Why we met at all? It is yet only two years, Many more are to scroll! · Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format M C Gupta 28 July 2003
