The Road
Written when I was a little kid

Beat the drum to your own beat,
walk the road on your own feet.

Make others turn, stop and stare,
pay attention, take close care.

Show them that in life they wallow,
make them take their heart, and follow.

March with them, show them all,
how to march, to their own call.

Degust of all there is in life,
rise up through the mindless strife.

Leader born, that you are,
destined to go so very far.
