FINAL GOOD BYE--a ghazal
I no more have a fire now, I don’t have a desire now. For me all the joy is gone, World is simply a mire now. I don’t hold any grudges; Left in me is no ire now. I was born empty handed And empty I retire now. No more do I yearn to live, My life is a satire now. I am friendless, there is none To light my lonely pyre now. In the evening of my life, My address, don’t inquire now. This world is no more for me, I wish to go higher now. Good bye, Khalish, I want to Return to His Empire now. • Written 7 syllables per line.
