RADIANCE
Most beautiful eyes too briefly shone my way the pain I caused and the coldness now there

I fell into your eyes the moment I met you
Your willing prisoner, gladly I succumbed
Dived and swam buoyantly in seas of deepest cobalt blue
Light once dimmed shinning pure and bright
Colours changing, always deep
Carefree spirit
Restless burning flames
Bright and blinding
Life and mischief
Innocence and joy
Radiated from depths distant but warm
I thought it shone solely for me
Briefly, stupidly I tried to keep it
Always doomed to fail
The cage I built too weak to hold it
Small and brittle

Moist pain slapped across large shining gemstones
Cold light, sharp pain piercing shallow heart

Furtively, I still love to sneak a glance
Precious
Delicate
Dark blue beauty
Turn in shame
Full of life
But dead for me
