Celebrating New Year in Paris...

Paris

Strolling along the banks of La Seine,
Smiling faces, hands entwined.
Fireworks illuminating the sky above,
A carefree, starry eve, worries left behind.
Greeting the dawning year as one
Unity, commitment redefined;
How lovely to be in Paris with you,
If only in my mind.

The city of love, passion and romance,
The most fitting place we could find.
To cement our love forevermore,
Transcending barriers, promises opined.
Our souls so effortlessly connect
My heart to yours confined;
How lovely to be in Paris with you,
If only in my mind.
