Just An Orphan Child I had no dad to hold me No mom to dry my tears No parents to tuck me in As night time drew near I had no mother to adorn me In fancy dresses of lace Nor brush my pretty red hair Nor feel a father's embrace I had no parents to listen To the stories I would tell No mom and dad to praise me And tell me I was swell I had no father to teach me The things I ought to know I had no mother to watch me As I started to grow I had no parents at school To see the things I would do No one there for me to share My first date and kiss or two I had no mom to show my ring No Dad to walk me down the aisle I had no one to be with me As I was just an orphan child Thank you butterfly388 for the beautiful awardicon given to me on behalf of the Silent Helpers Group
