Amberlee
The distance a woman will go for love

Seven days to Amberlee,
Where my lover waits in ecstasy.
My love for him knows no bounds.
"Forever together" my heart resounds.

The ride is long but I don't mind
For at the end I know I'll find,
A man whose eyes are filled with light
As he gazes on a love so bright.

I have the letters to pass the days
And memories of his subtle ways.
The train moves on, I close my eyes.
Dreaming of him, my lovely prize.

My love for him has grown by day
My heart loves his in every way.
Well meaning friends hushed their doubt
When they understood there's no way out.

This love between us is far too strong
To keep us apart for very long.
I recall his photos, the love in his eyes
The night train swallows my whispered sighs.

Seven miles to Amberlee,
Where my lover waits in ecstasy.
My heart grows lighter, not long now
We'll share a look, he'll hear my vow.

My hands will linger over his heart
I'll promise my love and never to part.
I'll vow that forever we shall be
Bound in love for eternity.

I'll hold him close and wet his cheek,
With tears of joy that render me weak.
I'll whisper his name like a well-known prayer
He'll hear my voice and know how I care.

Seven minutes to Amberlee
Where my lover waits in ecstasy.
I kiss the letters and revel in bliss
Knowing there is no love like this.

Soon, soon my excited heart screams
Soon we will live out all of these dreams.
I'll render him speechless with my charms.
And we'll fall into each others arms.

Seven steps to Amberlee
Where my lover waits in ecstasy.
I'll smile upon him, and he will see.
This love between us is destiny.

Seven sharp stabs in Amberlee,
Where my lover writhes in ecstasy.
The woman atop him screams once, then sighs
With each thrust, I whisper good-byes.

I push her aside and take her place
And gently stroke my lover's face.
So many nights I've dreamed this time,
When he would know that he is mine.

The letters I sent, that he chose to ignore
Lay scattered about us upon the floor.
My blood red knife trails over his chest,
I whisper to him, "I love you best."

"Seven years I've longed for thee
To be with you in ecstasy.
I've watched every single movie you've done,
Still you wouldn't understand--I'm the one.

I'm the one who's always loved you.
I'm the one whose heart has been true.
While you reveled in fleshly ecstasy
Here in your estate called Amberlee."

I thrust my knife and whisper my love
"Watch over me darling from up above."
Then I cut out his heart and place it with mine,
Forever my dearest, I shall be thine.

Seven hours they tried to question me,
When the deed was done in Amberlee.
'Why did you do it, if you love him so?'
Such silly people, because they know.

He spoke to my heart with his every word
And from the day I saw him, that's all I heard.
Surely he beckoned to his "Amberlee"
When he named his estate home after me.
