Everytime Until Recently
My tribute did not flower until Grandma died.

Until recently,
everytime I started with the idea
of drawing flowers for her
My mind's eye clamped shut
and from my hand came tight buds
or mostly closed ones.

Yet now, at her grave,
the open beautiful flowers come.
