A FALLING STAR

I hoped to catch a falling star
one clear and starlit night;
I hoped to realize a dream
to fill my heart with delight!

Yet as I watched the Heavens
for the falling star to appear;
I saw the dark clouds forming
and the stars began to disappear.

A storm was in the making,
the wind began to pick up speed;
Tomorrow night might be better,
it's a clear sky that I need!

Some may wish upon a falling star
but I would try to catch one;
I realize there's not much chance
Until the storm is done.
