KISSING THE TEARS
When a man loves a woman His love is not sublime. He wants to be physical And kiss her all the time. In his love he holds her and Takes in gentle embrace. He kisses her hand and palm Her lips and brow and face. When a woman is in love All this she desires, sure. But also deep in her heart She longs for even more. A loving woman’s heart knows Many an emotion, Of which her lover may not Have the slightest notion. A woman in love does have Fear of being insecure. ‘Will the lover stand by me?’ Of this she’s never sure. So in moments of love her Eyes are moistened by fears. What she needs really is That he kisses her tears. * Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format * Awarded place of honourable mention in "Invalid Item" M C Gupta ‘Khalish’ 29 August 2003
