TO BE IN LOVE
What it is to be in love, Who can know better than me? Love is hope and love is pain, Love is fate and destiny. Till I knew not what is love, Life was a rudderless ship; Drifting in waters unknown, Searching for real friendship. What it is to be in love, I learnt after I met you; How can I ever forget The very first rendezvous? In true love we are but one, One heart, one soul, bodies two; We shed separate existence, I am not I, you not you. What it is to be in love, Love is pleasure eternal; But, beware, too, love is Real torture, infernal. Above all, love, truly, is, Spiritual attainment; It is the ultimate find, Love is pure contentment. M C Gupta ‘Khalish’ 5 September 2003 www.writing.com/authors/mcgupta44
