AN ODE TO PAIN
Pain, truly, I bow to thee. What would world without you be? Without knowing what is pain, Shall we from hurting, refrain? In fact, pain of suffering Truly teaches us something. Pain of giving birth to child Brings happiness pure and wild. Suffering is not in vain. We remember Him in pain. Pain suffered on punishment Makes the wrong doer repent. Pain preceding death of man Is a prelude to heaven. When fate is a painful lot, It makes us remember God. Pain teaches us endurance, Noble path of tolerance. * Written in aabb 7-7- format M C Gupta Created: 5 September 2003
