AN ODE TO TEARS
An ode to tears, without which man would not be man

AN ODE TO TEARS

Tears, heart’s mirror true,
Are fragile like tender dew.

Tears, nature’s gentle art,
Soothe the ailing, wailing heart.

Tears are flow of feeling,
They bring a touch of healing.

Window of pains and fears
Are eyes from which flow tears.

Why hold tears in disdain?
They ease out the inner pain.

Tears, treasure of love sweet,
Make separated lovers meet.

At the feet of Lord when laid,
They are in heaven repaid.
