I have a rambling rose in my garden, Bought up as a child, cared for and nurtured Until it envelops all around Across, up and in between Pervading the trellis, fence, pergola Softening all edges in a carpet of green Until it bursts forth in a flurry of white, A multitude of small, perfect flowers, Again and again, And the scent, light and breezy creeps across us both When ever I look out, she's first to catch my eye And I've called her Grace.
