Sitting on my own back porch
The afternoon is breezy The sun a red and gentle torch It seems like life is easy The children come to celebrate Exulting in the sun In joy for they anticipate A summer’s worth of fun Children don’t consider how Or why their days are spent The cares of then and cares of now Are oh so different!
