I whisper in tongues,
forming words from winds
and white-capped waves
washing over stubborn sands.

I touch on truths,
stealing time from clocks
and ancient calendars
counting lonely lunar years.

I watch in towers,
assembling light from stars
and spinning assistance
paving waterways toward home.

I scream at tides,
recognizing new from full
as sameness cyclic
taunting disappearing shores.
