The Truth Is Not Mutable As the countless ages pass me by A few things harbor truth Rambunctious people don’t know why And count my words uncouth The ageless truth’s not mutable On that you can rely You’ll find my words inscrutable Just please don’t pass me by Don’t treat me like a cipher And wassial on your way In this I’ll be a lifer And fight another day My pulpit isn’t ageless I wouldn’t put on airs Of this you should be certain I am a man who cares This poem was written for a challenge. You are given a number of words and challenged to write a poem containing those words. Sometimes you are given one or more phrases, in addition to the words. (required words and phrases in red) Wanna give it a try? Here's the location: http://www.writing.com/main/forums.php?item_id=213819 Candle Maker
