Odense, the first time, the station platform. With your winning smile descending to greet me. Boundless nervous energy building for weeks To be replaced by an easy, natural kiss As arm in arm we step out on the road And destiny smiles from above. Copenhagen, bustling airport as I seek your face And there so close, as if we'd never been apart. Bridges rebuilt, plans to form, love to share Guttering candles, thrown out of bars, life to live A slow burning fuse of shared desire To be held so close as I climb into the western sky. Kolding, you can drive, long legs stretched out My favourite picture of you at dinner Walk hand in hand through the town to meet your sister Your mind made up, hopes all out, no going back. Monthly long distance love soon to be replaced By a daily melt into your crystal eyes.
