Prone to Wander
I find myself drifting away Like sheep following the grass I didn’t see the gradual drift Till my life had almost passed A ship upon a rudderless sea Each man seeking his own way No fence or road to keep me in Nothing to show when I stray But there’s a way we can live A life that's committed and true But there must be an anchor point To set the course each day anew A measuring rod that I lay down To check my walk along the way As I cross that roadless sea Throughout my endless days.
