From Within.

I set and stare into a sunset; the fingers of the sun stretch across the sky.
My eyes are filled with gentle hues and colors of the tapestry before me.
Awe and wonder swells my soul; I become small, yet still question, “Why?”
Why must I share this glory with memories of a love that only I can see?
But the sun settles into the distance; the light dwindles and slowly dies,
and again I am found, lost in the midst of night, where I dream this mystery.

I look into the heavens and see star light; sprites tickle my soul and ponder my mind.
Reflections of the vastness, what might be, hovers over my existence and weeps,
for all that can be known, continues on forever, and will only rest at the end of time.
Why must I share this wonder with memories of a love that only I can keep?
But the stars’ shine with no regret; their flight carries the night again, for me to find,
each night with the mystery dreaming and my love fallen, into endless sleep.

The dawn appears; promise of hope with a softening touch, of the morning dew.
The golden glow, of the reddening sky, bleeds over me; I witness the day begin.
I feel the strength and magic that comes with the birth of sunrise and all anew,
which brings forth the coming of all that I have ever known, or have ever been.
As the sun must rise and will set again, I am bound to seek this dream's pursue.
But all that I am, is silent and hidden from all; the love I have – this love from within.
