Solitude
Rated: E | Poetry | Emotional | #756623
Sometime it's simply good to be alone.
Solitude

Solitude can be your foe
Or else a trusted friend
You often see her come and go
A mystic like the wind

You can run to solitude
For solace in a storm
And find within her waiting arms
Your comfort sweet and warm

I have a thousand friends or more
Who walk with me each day
And certainly they bring me joy
And smiles along the way

And yet I know from time to time
When dawn has kissed the sky
My spirit longs for solitude
And to her breast I’ll fly.
