                   A Slave To Fear

He came into the room a little slow
And announced that Kismet was his name
No pomp or circumstance with him
A victim of fate was his acclaim

He'd been wronged for many years
Put down and slandered was his bane
A man with a hollowed soul
And I marveled how he could restrain

An obviously gullible soul for years
His emotions under tight reins
Staid and sober now meek and mild
A slave without any chains
