BY THE GRACE OF GOD It is only by the grace of God That I am still here today; So many times I've floundered And completely lost my way. When I've been hurt and trouble Came knocking at my door, I only had to say a prayer For peace to come once more. So many times I thought I'd quit, And just turn and walk away; It was only by the grace of God That I could stand and stay. When my footsteps took me away From the path I should have trod, His hands were there to guide me; I am still here, by the grace of God. A simple thanks is not enough For all He has given me; So I will listen to His word For it will set me free. Countrymom 10/5/03
