WE ARE NEVER FAR APART
My wife and I were busy, Each of us being a doctor. Often we had little time For self or for each other. Medical profession keeps Doctors busy day and night. We had our quota of Both love and domestic fight. Although work kept us away, We knew truly in our heart That in spite of busy life We were never far apart. Now you are with me no more, Full eight years have elapsed. But not a waking moment, Without your thought I have passed. No more your looks, no gestures, Now no more for me your smile. You, though in another world, Are in my thoughts all the while. But your memories are now, Of my life, integral part. Even now, truly I say, We are never far apart.
