KILLING SILENCE
Talk to me, pick up a fight, If love’s impossible; But let’s not with silence our Existence chronicle. Both of us now live a life, In our respective shells; For our marriage, this silence, A doom certainly spells. Come on, let’s fight a bit if In peace we cannot live; Let’s get from each other if, On our own we can’t give. For sake of formality, Or for sake of pretence, Come and say something to me. I can’t bear this silence. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 syllabic format. M C Gupta 9 October 2003
