The Lady Replied

He approached her obliquely,
He sidled up close.
He asked her so sweetly,
"Will you do-si-dos?"

The lady replied,
"No, thank you, but no".

He leaned in much nearer,
He whispered and coaxed.
He made it much clearer,
He wouldn't be hoaxed.

The lady replied,
"No, I thank you,
but really, no, thank you".

He towered above,
He attempted to touch;
He wanted her love,
He wanted too much!

The lady replied,
"No, truly I thank you, for your offer quite clear;
But again I repeat,
No, thank you, my dear".

He made one more try,
He wheedled and whined.
He wanted to pry,
He asked, "Have you dined?"

The lady replied,
"I have told you no thank you.
I told you again.
Now I'll tell you, kind thir,
NO THANK YOU TIMETH TEN!"
