I am left trying
To remember those words again
But they are long gone.

I wish I could press rewind
And redo it all again

I wish I could have
Been less rushed and more patient
And held you longer

I wish you melted slower
And I could have savored more

We lost each other
and left more blank pages
More sweet words unheard

We can never get them back
The songs will never be heard.
