NOOSE
My life’s a silent suffering, Complaining is no use. I feel as if my neck is caught In a tightening noose. But just because I am silent, You think that all is fine. For you it’s not important that I have a moment mine. I need time to discuss with you What is ailing my life I want to share with you constant, Doubts and the daily strife. I know my beauty is fading. You’re no more attracted. To the internet and TV, You are now addicted. Why should the home and children be My sole burden always? I wish you could lend me a hand At least on holidays? My pain is ever increasing, I can’t hold back my tears. As time passes my noose tightens More and more o’er the years. * Written in abcb, 8-6-8-6 format • Rating as on 1 December 2007: 4.5 [average of 10] M C Gupta 21 Ocober 2003
