I CANNOT LET IT GO


Of all the words unspoken
That just remained a thought;
Of all the hurt to feelings
And the pain that it brought;

Of all these sufferings let
Me simply this thing say:
They do form a part of love
And will pass off one day.

Let’s speak not the unspoken,
Let’s not think of past thought;
Let’s mend the heart that’s broken,
Let’s heal the pain thus brought.

Let all past be forgotten,
Let’s write a chapter new;
Let’s walk again together,
Both of us, me and you.

My love's the same as always
As it was years ago;
It’s as strong as it was then,
I cannot let it go.
