The Vain Pursuit A vagabond from another place and time Driven to a lonely precipice His hair windswept by the currents His robes billowed by the wind And with eyes unclouded by the world's guile Looked out at a myriad of dangers that stood before him And cried out as did the ancient scribe Vanity! Vanity! All I see is vanity in a desolate space The world is filled to its brim With those who are vigorous is the pursuit of all the vain things And there is none None who would rebut this fundamental flaw Of vain people chasing after vanity And they succeed in their pursuit Vanity! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Words required to be used by "Para/Poem Challenge "Open"" Vigorus...Fundamental...Rebut...Brim...Myraid...Desolate
