The Delicate Butterfly

The Delicate Butterfly

He flitted from flower to flower
Delicately drinking the nectar down
Wafting along on the wind
Tentative in his selections of the colorful flower
and then
On a desolate hill
An experimental plant was set
With super DNA fed by supernatural nourishment
That produced a powerful effect
and then
Along came this delicate butterfly
Flitting along to this special flower
And inserting his snout, drew the nectar out
Filling his tank to the brim
and then
A fundamental change occurred
As a myriad of muscles bulged
To rebut his light and delicate frame
As he headed to the next
and then
He flew straight to a dandelion
Grabbing it by its slender neck
Pulling it down, the nectar was sweet
And drained every drop from its tank
and then
His next victim was a lilac
There a bumblebee challenged his place
So he grabbed its wings and pulled out its thing
But he'd become more vigorous yet.
