Frozen
Waves lapping around my feet Buried deep in the peaty sand Frozen there, wind in my hair Far beyond the wide horizon Lives my love so true and fair. A lonely stroll along the beach Images lively inside my heart Frozen there, they remain evermore Like promises given, sweetly, freely Love, passion, fire live as before. Moonshine outside my window Illuminating this darkened room Frozen there, tears start falling A cry for you into the shadows My love, do you hear me calling? Head cast back, admiring the lights Of colourful fireworks upon the sky Frozen there, I sigh with yearning At the thought of you so far away Wishing for your embrace in the morning And with the first fragrant buds of spring All of the promises that they bring Frozen there, my heart is aching For what could have been In the name of love I have forsaken. Such is the life I now am facing If what I fear should come true Frozen here, I hold my breath Hopeful for your eternal embrace, To dedicate my love to you.
