I’m so damn cold
Wrap your arms around me And kiss my hairline Whisper beautiful things to me Like you always do Don’t ask what’s wrong I’ll just keep saying the same “nothing” Over and over and over again Just hold me And soon my ugly thoughts will pass His freezing harsh touch will fade And I’ll no longer be afraid Of broken bottles And depressing songs set on repeat His body pressing down on mine While I struggle to breathe/escape I won’t be afraid of waking up dead Bruised and bathed in blood and tears After a long night of steel-toed boots Cruel fists and screamed threats While I sink to the floor/cower Pleading silently Because pleas spoken aloud Only further infuriate The already insane angry boy Disguised as a man With long brown hair So just hold me, love Rock me gently In your all-encompassing arms Just let me whimper Cry on your shoulder Till I finally find sleep
