The Wake It’s not been long, some three days past
I shed this shell they view And as they stand with stilted grace Each neatly in a queue Their thoughts are mine, and now I know What each does truly feel But will not share with others there As bells so softly peal Still, good to see those I’d not seen Since, oh so long ago And good to know they share regret Some on that stage below That our commitments keep us from Sharing much we save Until this day, ironically When sharing meets the grave
