I wear you in my sleep There are so many ways in which I wear you Each night when I go to sleep An anklet, like a shackle of your love I am but a slave to you A chain of gold around my neck Garnet stone resting in the hollow The ring, a gift of promise Like my eyes, a stone of blue The smallest of fabrics Covering my very secrets The faintest of smiles At the thought of you As your image fades into darkness I close my eyes and silently weep.
