VALUE OF LOVE
You are yet with me my love, Though you be far away. In my thoughts and in my heart, You’re with me night and day. You are ever in my eye, Your photo, I don’t need; Your words do ring in my ears, Letters I need not read. I still have what you gave me, Love and pain, a few tears; I can’t forget you although It has been seven years. What an irony, your love I never did value; Having lost you for ever, I’m now thoughtful of you! • Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format • Awarded Honorable Mention Prize in EMOTIONAL POETRY contest, Round 21, June 2007, "Invalid Item" M C Gupta 13 November, 2003
